Ian Clethero, Managing Director
Ian Clethero studied the organ with Peter Hurford at Cambridge University where he graduated in Mathematics in 1984. He lived and worked in Hong Kong for nine years before returning to the UK to take up a position of administrator of the national music education charity, The Voices Foundation.
He launched UK music education magazine, Zone, in 2001, relaunched as Music Education UK in 2011, and through Zone New Media (UK) developed a range of online resources as well as a major annual national music education conference, musiclearninglive!, which Zone New Media has presented since 2008.
Ian holds an ARCO performer's diploma from the Royal College of Organists.

Cathy Tozer, Editor
After graduating from Lancaster University, Cathy Tozer trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama before going on to work as a singer/songwriter and music teacher. Her jazz trio performed all over the UK with Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now! and she toured Japan as a backing vocalist, promoting pop star Miki Imai’s No. 1 album, Pride.
Sessions and performances include BBC Radio 2’s Sounds of Jazz with the Kenny Wheeler Big Band, vocals for the children’s CD series, Letterland, and backing vocals at venues from the Queen Elizabeth Hall to the Tokyo Budokan.
In 2001, Cathy became a full-time Primary music specialist, teaching in schools and nurseries across London while continuing to perform with her Early Years' music facility, Bangers & Smash. She left teaching in 2009 to concentrate on her work for Zone New Media and is now editor of Music Education UK and Music Education Singapore.
