New music training course to welcome non-specialists

A training course led by Victoria Carlton, Director of Australia's International Centre for Excellence (ICE), in partnership with Ngo Chew Yeh from September 21 Enterprise will welcome music specialists and non-specialists alike.

Victoria CarltonThe course promises to empower 'ALL teachers to become teachers of music' through the Jolly Music  programme of learning developed by Cyrilla Rowsell and David Vinden in the UK.

Based on the principles of Hungarian composer and music educator, Zoltán Kodály, Jolly Music is a multi-sensory programme with all the teaching done through singing, enabling children to become instant music makers without the need to learn how to play an instrument.

Course details are as follows:

  • Friday 23 September 2011, 2-5pm
  • Harmony Seminar Room, September 21 Enterprise Pte Ltd, 13 Toa Payoh Lor 8 #04-05 Braddell Tech, Singapore 319261
  • Tel: 62560226
  • Email: chewyeh@september21.com.sg
